I made this monkey last July as a baby gift for my friend in St. Louis. I was going to sew him a little blue and green John-John suit, but instead he has been sitting naked, grinning at me from the top of my fabric caddy for six months. So now that the baby might be old enough to play with him, I think I'll make his outfit more lively. Maybe I'll use the cowboy fabric he's lounging on. I wonder how to make a wee cowboy hat...

The horrible thing is that she is one of those very gracious friends who always remembers your birthday, and I'm feeling a bit guilty. She sent the best little outfit for Nora when she was born. If you're reading this, dear friend...I miss you and I WILL send this before his first birthday!
