family is good
Maw Maw, Brian's mom, is here from St. Louis for a few days. She came because there was a field trip at Jack's school that I wanted to help out with and she agreed to babysit Nora for the day. The field trip was fun and enlightening. The last time I was on a school bus was probably back in high school. It looks, sounds, and smells exactly the same- except now there are seat belts. Also, thank goodness there are patient preschool teachers. They are saints, let me tell you. But I digress. As I was saying, Maw Maw is so loved around here. When she's in town, Brian and I are chopped liver. Here she is yucking it up with Jack while we sit at the rail yard waiting for a few trains to go by (one of Jack's favorite activities.) And Jennifer, Brian's sister, sent with Maw Maw a whole bag full of adorable warm weather clothes for Nora. Check it all out. The kid is set for summer. Between my sister's three girls, dear Zoe, and Jennifer's two girls, Nora has hands down THE BEST wardrobe in town. And we haven't paid a dime for any of it.
