cardinals 10, royals 3

It was a three game sweep for the Cardinals. Our poor Royals? Not so good. On the other hand, our Cardinals couldn't be hotter. We're a mixed family, you know. I'm a life-long Royals girl. Brian's a born and raised Cardinals boy. J chose his Royals jersey for the game on Saturday- that's my boy!

It was a whirlwind weekend full of family fun, baseball games, and food food food. Maw Maw and Da came on Thursday to watch J's baseball game. And then Brian's sister Kim, her boyfriend John, and Kim's twins, Tim and David all came Friday evening. The twins are 13, and J absolutely loves them. They do an excellent job of humoring a clingy five year old. Thanks, boys. Here are David and J tailgating at the game. If you could see J's eyes, you'd see the adoring gleam.

Kim's bag turned out very cute. She was pleased. She's pretty cute too, don't you think?

She chose the fabric (stripes and dots) and it is such a fun, lively combo. I put two pockets on the inside and I used fusible fleece instead of interfacing. I REALLY like the body this gave the purse, so much so that I think I'm going to unstitch my own and add it inside the layers.

Also, Friday morning I went to some neighborhood garage sales in a subdivision nearby and found MANY nice things I need. One of them being, um, a house. And we're actually considering making an offer. We haven't decided. Hmmm... big stuff. Tomorrow, I'll at least show you a couple of the substantially smaller items I found.

**Brian just read this and said, "You're going to stir up a lot of stuff." So, friends and family, no need to call or email. We just found a cool house that could be our next fixer-upper opportunity and seems like a decent deal. BUT we're just talking about it. Even if we decided to make an offer, you know how it goes. We might not even get the darn thing.**

so glad you had a fun weekend! i love that every photo of J he always has a huge grin on his face. great smile!

I can see the love on J's face without even seeing his eyes.

And would you be moving into the new fixer upper? Why don't you all bring some of that craziness over to my place...

You can totally see how happy J is. So cute. Sounds like a wonderful weekend and that bag is way cute. So bright!
Another fixer upper house! Ambitious family aren't y'all?

A HOUSE? It must really be something if you fell in love with it that quickly. If you do decide to buy it, you have to post pictures immediately. I'm insanely curious. ;)
