creeping along
A lime green photo this morning for Amy and her Year of Color group.
A weekend full of thunderstorms has perked up my plants. We used to fantasize about cuddling up in bed at night while a storm rolls through. But now I tend to lie there waiting, waiting for a little one to cry out frightened by the noise. I'm not really complaining. It's still a lovely way to spend a few hours awake. And the babes made it through without incident.

I'm plugging away on the slipcover. It's progressing nicely, although it is hard to sew very quickly when you work like this.

Please visit Shari's Compound Word Project. Shari has such a talent for finding beauty and peace in everyday life. And this new project of hers has that same relaxed, earthy feel. My photo is in the middle set. Can you figure out the word?

Have a wonderful Monday, friends. I'll be back tomorrow to say some belated thank you's...

John is my most terrified - the other 2 never really had a problem with thunder. He was right smack dab between M and I all night. sigh. Double beds are NOT meant for co-sleeping!

oh my gosh! for a minute I thought I was looking at myself in your sewing picture!!! the wall color and wainscoting are the same as mine and I usually sew with a little girl on my lap (except she has brown hair).

Thank you for the compound word link - what fun. I'm playing (and yours was the hardest to guess!).
I love how the garden perks up after rain.

Oh, you have a "helper". My helpers prefer to "help" with the rotary cutter...

I was surprised that the thunder didn't create too much chaos here -- the dog was barking, and the baby still didn't wake!
OK, maybe it is because it is 1am and I've been working for a few hours, but I can't figure out your word! Tell me! Seat feet? Bench edge? Bus lawn? Edge of your seat?? That's not a compound word...
Baby fish mouth!?! (OK, you have to know "When Harry Met Sally" for that one. Going to bed now.)
