rootb eer is yummy

rootb eer float

Celebrating with rootb eer floats (so cute!); the root beer was brewed with this kit. Brian and J timed it perfectly. Ten days later, it was ready to drink after the first day of school.

What are we celebrating?

•A fun first day of Kindergarten- truth be told, he was more excited about getting to try the root beer.
•Mommy keeping her composure through it all- one of my goals. (Actually, it was much easier than I anticipated.)
•Finally, a little rain over the weekend and a small break in the heat this week allowing a dinner on the patio.
•N and Mommy getting a little quiet, alone time every morning.

Love the handmade "rootb eer" label...so sweet. I'm not a soda drinker, but I love some rootbeer once in awhile [reminds me of my Dad]...must buy this kit.

How cute! What a fun thing to do. This reminds me that I haven't introduced my kids to floats yet, but I'm not sure how a root beer float made with vanilla soy ice cream would taste (Alex is allergic to dairy).

How sweet that you and Nora get some time together. I miss one on one time with my kids.

Mmm, rootbeer floats sound good. Rootb eer floats sound even better!

I'm glad the first day of school wasn't too traumatic for you.

Such a sweet post! Glad the first day of school and the rootb eer were both a success. Love the label!

We love rootb eer around here so I will definitely look into the kit. Glad to hear the day went well for both J and you.

So cute! Great reasons to celebrate!

this is a great time for you and nora - love that name.
Good job on maintaining composure... I remember
when I worked in the schools, the principal always sent
several of us down to help the kindergarten moms
separate from their kiddos... we had a little coffee for
the moms in the library.

wow...
the first day
of kindergarten!
so exciting...
can i squeeze
in on the bench
to celebrate
with a float?

Oh, I want to come to this party! I can't even get rootbear where I live and I just looove that stuff. Maybe good I can't buy it here, I'd drink it every day!
