table for one
One of the real joys of staying at home with my kids is sharing meals with them. But every once in awhile it is just so good to wait. With one stashed away in her crib for a nap, and the other cuddled up watching the Polar Express for the 437th time, it is such a pleasure to eat lunch alone. In silence. With a book.

That looks a lot healthier than the pig-in-a-blanket and sugar cookie I had for lunch. :) (Although it was Nan's cookie recipe, so Brian might be jealous!)

and such a healthy lunch at that.
:)
I love those times, as well, and have been known to hoard certain treats for when dh takes all of them outta the house. that's when I wash my crappy t.v. and eat chocolate and leave highly-breakable crystal wine glasses sitting right out where the baby might reach them (were he there).

Sigh. I keep mentioning the fact that eating sans kids really is as good as a vacation sometimes.

That is a yummy looking salad (my fave kind of lunch, not the kids fave though). And Matthew watches PE so often he has the dialogue and songs imprinted in his mind! Can't blame him, I like to watch it too.
