a gentle reminder
I quickly interrupt this scheduled break: For us Black Friday = Buy Nothing Day. A day to perhaps consider the global impact we make when we spend our hard-earned money.
Hope you all had the most wonderful of holidays. (We sure did!) Now I must lounge around and recover.

Here is to Buy Nothing Day. We are sitting here vegging out on movies and will stop at the park a little later. No shopping for us...

Um, Do beverages count? I was told there would be food and beverages at this protest? Must I boycott Starbucks if the only item purchased is in category of foodstuffs, not merchandise?
I'm in - for years to come - if the boycott excludes Vente Triple Soy 2-Pump Mocha Extra Hot w/ Foam in a delightfully festive Holiday Cup o' Cheer (which I promptly recycle.)

What a funny article - I don't think the critics of Buy Nothing Day have much of a leg to stand on (Well you'll just buy more the next day? Indeed.)
So good to run into you at Antioch Park - but how weird was that. Hope your holiday was/is good.

Well, we only bought water, but we had to since the stupid government wouldn't let us bring water past airport security! I can't stand crowds, so I'm more than happy to not participate in the craziness.
I hope you are all feeling well now! Lounging sounds good.
