Left: Sneak peak of a painting for Grace's daughter.
I'll show you the whole thing after she gets it.
Right: Magnolia tree down the block.
We're enjoying beautiful flowering trees this year.

Oooh, love that pink bird!

Wow, spring is an actual season for you! I'm so envious. Here all we have is summer but without leaves on the trees. I am not even joking. We'll start getting some leaves & green around May 1, and then it will be full-on summer!

I am terribly honored by the beautiful painting for Elle. She is going to adore it. More on that when it comes!

what a beautifully delicate bird! the color is so lovely too.

and I am jealous of your magnolia! we are a few weeks behind here I guess--waiting very impatiently too! ;)

the bird is amazing! great job.

i've never seen a magnolia tree before. very pretty.

I am so anxious to see the entire bird! it is beautiful.

you call that a magnolia tree?

we've always called them tulip trees.

so i looked it up (of course i looked it up, nerdy mcnerdison over here) and the tulip tree is in the family of the magnolia tree but is a more distict variety also known as saucer magnolia (Magnolia x soulangiana).

so we are both right. :-)

what a sweet little bird.
love how you've illustrated him, and
how you've paired him with that pink tree.

They're both beautiful.

The bird is really sweet and beautiful...can't wait to see the full painting.

oh alicia! what a wonderful bird! i love it! i love this time of year in the midwest!

Hi - my first time on your page - but you are an amazing photographer and i'm loving this pink bird...
i'm looking for the RIGHT image as i'm trying wanting to get a sparrow tattoo - would you mind if i used this image?! i really only want the half that you're showing and then i'm going to draw the rest - kind of floating away.... let me know if you're against this...
thanks so much -
