no big plans
I pulled over and took pictures of this trellis/arbor/entry gate on the back way to the grocery. Amazing! Gardening friends, is this wisteria? Whatever it is, I LOVE it and want some.
Abrupt topic change:
It feels good to have a weekend with NOTHING planned. No ball games or practices. No parties. The only possibilities looming on the horizon include gardening but only if the weather is good. Fishing with Papa but only if the weather is good. Vodka tonics on the patio... but only if the weather is good!
So what happens if the weather isn't good? Sleeping in. Coffee. Cinnamon rolls. Crossword puzzles. Sewing. (J has a project he's been working on too.) Teacher gift making. Reading. Vodka tonics in the family room.
So some of these things may happen. Or not. Fine by me. (Except for the little teacher gifts- they have to get done.) For the next few days we're just going to play it by ear and relax.
Oh, yes. One last thing, WOO HOO for summer!

Yep - wisteria - it looks so pretty on that trellis.
Yes - plans for nothing over a long weekend are more special than anything else! Amazing world we live in these days eh? Have fun doing "nothin" -- we're doing much of the same despite kitten excitement.

Those are the kinds of weekends I like the most. Where there are no priorities or lists.
Enjoy.

I like that vodka tonics made the bad weather scenario too! Enjoy your weekend, Alicia.

I love wisteria too and I'm determined to get some in my yard for next spring. Sounds like the best kind of weekend.

i thought we were the only ones opting for the stay at home memorial day weekend. it feels great just to not be scheduled to the nines! pray for the good weather!

Yes, wisteria is pretty. I wouldn't plant it right next to your house though. I've heard rumors of it lifting roofs up, etc. That's why arbors are nice for that plant. :)
Your weekend sounds great! Ours will be much the same, with added birthday cake and anniversary sushi (that I can't really eat).

Ooooh, happy weekend! We have no plans this weekend, either ... though the kids & usually don't (just husband with his gigs). I am so looking forward to this, our first "stress-free" weekend!!! And I second that "woo hoo for summer"! I told Elle that next week was summer. I decided that it's not a lie. OK? OK.

That trellis looks gorgeous, wouldn't it be wonderful to have that in your front yard... Now if only I had something resembling a front yard:)
Sounds like a wonderful weekend!

This is the first weekend we don't have a ton of stuff to do also... and you're right, it feels GOOD. Enjoy the weekend!

Oh, your weekend sounds wonderful! Hope you are having a great one. Oh, and the arbor is perfectly gorgeous! And yes, I would bet it is wisteria.

Sounds exactly like my weekend, complete with teacher gift sewing. I'm making ours a tote. Love weekends with no agenda!

Looks like Wisteria too me. It looks so lovely hanging from the Arbor. You know I find some of the best weekends are the ones with out grand plans! I hope it was enjoyable.
