you know i love going to royals games. they are much more fun to watch at the park than on tv!! moving from kc to topeka gave me a bit of perspective as well. who knew i would look forward to my drive into the city so much!
I really enjoy your blog--don't remember how I got here (something craft related) but I had to comment about the "mixed family". My husband is from KC (that's where we met when I was living there) and we now live in STL (where I'm from) so we know what you're talking about. Nice to see the pics of KC on your blog and the links to Ted Drewes and the Kirkwood Station!
We went to many Royal's games when we lived in KC and I spent the hottest day of my life trying to tailgate in the parking lot before one particular afternoon game. Whew! Who knew the summers in KC could be so hot?!
We also enjoyed the market downtown and had some friends that lived in a loft down there.
Have you ever eaten dinner and then listened to live jazz at Jardine's? (It is just north of the Plaza). If it's still there, you must go!

A mice outcome for both sides. Everyone was a winner, literally.

Yes, it's fun to show out-of-towners KC. I'm always surprised by how many people are surprised there is anything here at all. :)

Ah - nostalgic for Royals games now. I love that stadium and Arrowhead too.
When I lived there I was fond of saying that KC is a nice place to live but I wouldn't want to visit there.... That's probably not true, is it...
