contemplating mid-summer
Things I have learned so far:
Cucumbers need A LOT of room to grow.
Crisp line-dried sheets? Love them. Stiff line-dried jeans? Love them too. Crunchy line-dried towels? Not so much.
The sprinkler is fun, but the pool is better.
Local, organic blackberries almost melt in your mouth.
It good to be six in the summer. It is also tiring.
No matter where you are and what the weather, have a terrific and relaxing weekend!

those dirty little feet look far too familiar :)
now see, i have much love for the crunchy towels. so absorbent and all that built-in exfoliation. (why is this telling me i'm spelling exfoliation wrong? strange.)
but i do see your point...they don't fold well at all.
have a great one yourself, sweets ~

I agree with and can relate to most of your blog. Especially the line-dried towels. Way too crunchy for me! (And 6-year-old boys.)

All of those are such sweet items of summer. Love this, especially the blackberries.

Cucumbers were my first grow. The whole summer nothing happened. In October, ONE cucumber grew. Then my dad decided (for the first time EVER) that he was going to go "weed the garden." And he thought my cucumber was a milkweed. So it went in the trash.
Cucumbers may have been my last grow too.

Sounds like a good summer - and educational to boot.
and 10 minutes in a dryer with half a dryer sheet works wonders to fluff the crunchy towels. Hey - we saved all that energy not drying them in the dryer; we entitled to a little fluffing.

Ah, good summer stuff. Minus crunchy towels!
Our cucumbers are crazy, crawling up fences and trailing off through the yard. Someone should really go work in the garden and get it under control...someone, not me mind you. :)

lined-dried sheets. amazing. I totally agree. Towels I can stand. But jeans?? no way. But when electricity costs what it does...I'll take stiff jeans.
