washing peppers

bananapeppers1.JPG

Elevating the mundane to a meaningful level. Recognizing the rhythm of routine. Finding beauty in the passage of time. These are the themes this week- and possibly next week too. No special events or staged photos, just little bits of our everyday existence.

A few people who get it and do it well:

Shari
Aug. Polaroid Project
And of course, this incredible book which I have yet to see in person.
Any others that I might need to check out?

I'll back in full force in a week or two, with art, handmade goodness, a freshened up website and hopefully a little bit of news to share.

I'm looking forward to seeing the world through your everyday eye. I really like that old colander.

Your photos are always the most inspiring. you have such a good eye ... i am so good at appreciating what you see, and so need to work on seeing it here. xoxox

Eliot and I spent a very happy half an hour washing cutting sorting and eating peppers that I brought home from Farmer's Market on Saturday. Embrace the moment. :)

You don't have to tease! News???

they rhythm of routine. I love that.

what a wonderful way to usher in a new rhythm for a new season. i'm a few days behind you - still bumping around after vacation and not yet settled back into any sort of routine. i appreciate yours - living vicariously.

oh, secret stuff....exciting!

love your photos, alicia. enjoy those peppers.

If the photo of the peppers is anything to go by we will be in for a good few days!! I look forward to more of your photos!

Did you grow those? Not even my herbs made it through this heat. Of course, it would have helped if I had watered regularly. :)

alright alicia that last sentence is a bit cryptic. you are going to kill me with suspense.

Ah!... now i am smiling:)

a lovely theme. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to news too.
