i don't want to give it back
It is just as simple and bittersweet and incredible as I suspected it would be. The only thing I dislike about the library is saying goodbye to the books I've fallen for.

Must get that book. And totally agree about the library - the 'borrowing' part can be difficult, sometimes.

oh i hate that as well. that's why i adore the book sale that our library has. then i get to take home some of the most amazing books!

I think I might be next in line for that book. I have had it on hold for a while. This is exactly why I have been a long time book buyer...it is so hard to give them back...in fact I think I have some late payments because of that right now!

oh but at least you can get a feel for what is truly good and then buy your own copy. Our own library has been closed for over 2 months as the city is on strike. I am going crazy with the terrible selection of kids books in all the thrift and 2nd hand book stores.
i'm adding Albert Hastings to my "wish list".
