It is just as simple and bittersweet and incredible as I suspected it would be. The only thing I dislike about the library is saying goodbye to the books I've fallen for.

Must get that book. And totally agree about the library - the 'borrowing' part can be difficult, sometimes.

i agree with your thought on the library. going to look for that book next time i am there.

i've actually shed a few tears returning books.

oh i hate that as well. that's why i adore the book sale that our library has. then i get to take home some of the most amazing books!

it's very nice of you to share :)
I still want to get that book! I'm glad to have your recommendation.

I think I might be next in line for that book. I have had it on hold for a while. This is exactly why I have been a long time book buyer...it is so hard to give them back...in fact I think I have some late payments because of that right now!

oh, my, me too! that's why i usually have atrocious fines!

oh but at least you can get a feel for what is truly good and then buy your own copy. Our own library has been closed for over 2 months as the city is on strike. I am going crazy with the terrible selection of kids books in all the thrift and 2nd hand book stores.
i'm adding Albert Hastings to my "wish list".

Thank you for the recommendation, Alicia. I can't wait to get my hands on this.

The giving back can be difficult... I am going to have to check if my library has this book.
