i do believe you have completely LOST YOU MIND if you think - at all - that your advent calendar is boring.

Not boring at all! It's very cute! (And I love the little wooden clothespins.)
December 4, 2007 5:36 PM
It's clean, simple, and elegant. Does that help? It truly is elegant.

Not boring. Just simple & sweet. I did the store bought thing this year (and two days late even!!) So, I'm impressed!

in college, i had a professor who taught me that - sometimes, if it's done, it's good. your advent calendar is done AND good!
December 4, 2007 6:21 PM
I love it! I didn't even make one this year.
December 4, 2007 7:24 PM
Are you kidding me? Boring? It is adorable and who needs rick rack with that pretty mirror and table decorations framing those little socks? I heart it Alicia :)
December 4, 2007 8:11 PM
simple. and awesome. not boring.
December 4, 2007 8:49 PM
Alicia, I didn't even come close to making one this year. And GASP I'm not going to buy one either. I just don't have it in me.
So, boring? Not at all. Cute. Simple. And FINISHED. Pretty cool to me!

No, it's not boring plus the actual calendar isn't what's important anyway. Really it's about the meaning of it all, and honestly, for the kids it's about the gifts.

I agree with others previously commenting; your advent calendar is DONE and ADORABLE. I'm still in shock that it's December.

Chic and minimalist - very European aesthetic. It's all in the marketing babe! And I love it,

First time visitor here and I think your advent is very lovely. It's a minimalist's dream come true!

I think it is simple and elegant...and at least it is finished. I am still on week three of making little envelopes...ack!

subtle beauty, like the loveliness of a fresh pile of folded linen or or a new stack of stationery.

can i chime in on the *not boring* comments? i agree - so not boring! i love this clean simplicity. they look very nice. (and i'm sure your little ones think they are quite exciting each morning, right?) seriously i love these. :)

Nah, at least you did something. I only bought cheap mass produced ones.

Simple is beautiful and really it will be the wonderful and meaningful activities you will do with you kids each day that counts and makes it truly memorable for them! Mine is full of Chocolate!!!!
December 5, 2007 9:58 AM
Definitely not boring: it's classic. I think it's beautiful.
December 5, 2007 1:21 PM
Simplicity! I love it! I might take your idea! The boys will love it!!!Thanks for sharing!

Chiming in, late, to agree with all the above. Not boring. I had hopes of making one, but didn't do it because I made the goal too complicated and life got in the way. (Although I'm thinking the tube socks that meg mentioned would be kinda fun, too.)

Ditto for me. Super cute Advent Calender! It just goes to show that sometimes simplier is best.
