cramming

for book club.

breakfast

I didn't choose the book, but the meeting is here at our house. How lame will I be if I don't finish the book and I'm the hostess? Very.

Gotta go read.

Comments

There was a time in the 80's that I had read every Anne Tyler book. Not so much any more. I think for this year I'm going to be able to claim to have read every American Girl book. :)

mmmm, croissant. who cares about book club when you have a croissant to enjoy?

oops!

you are so cute alicia. enjoy the croissant and the book club discussion. xo

Oh my... that croissant. I honestly think this is the first picture I've seen that makes me feel really angry that I can't have gluten :) Enjoy the croissant (and the book!).

It's a fine line, the one between finishing the book in time and reading it so early that you've forgotten the plot by the time it comes to discuss the book!

Good luck.

Yum, is that a toasted croissant to go with that book?

your breakfast looks like a butterfly. love.

I so wish I were in a book club and that it were lovely and social and fun. Being a Ph.D. student in literature is a major buzz kill for reading... I haven't read for pleasure in, like, five years. Ugh. Now before bed I play SuDoKu instead, which is kind of sad.

Did you enjoy the book?

I started a book club a few months ago here in New Zealand having relocated from the UK. We're rubbish at discussing the book but it's just great to get together every once in a while with like minded women.
Hope that you got it finished in time!

Love the butterfly crossiant!

And I'll have to check out the book. I've been reading up a storm lately and am always looking for good titles.

I haven't had the nerve to join a book club, though. I tend to get angry at people who hog the conversation but don't really say anything.

I might not make the best participant. ;)

Oh I read that book, I enjoyed it. Ok, I really listened to it on CD...but still I liked it. Hope you did too and that the discussion went well.

If nothing else I loved the idea of tying binkies to helium balloons and sending them off!

this is such a great photo !
