everybody needs friends

the bunny friend

Well, then. I didn't think things could get much worse on the illness front. Lordy, I was wrong. I felt sure I had dodged the stomach flu bullet, you know taking care of and cleaning up for the sicklies the last two weeks without getting it. But I awoke early yesterday morning, and I had it. Did I ever. And the aches? The aching pain in my hip sockets was almost unbearable. I found myself doing this low-in-the-throat humming thing that I involuntarily did when I was in labor. as in childbirth. Man-oh-man.

NOW, things are looking up. The evidence: At about 8:45 a.m., just as I was pondering what I might be able to eat, there was a knock at the door. It was my friend, Penny. She handed me a box of fruit-juice popsicles and blew me a kiss. An angel from heaven, that's what she is. And at nap time I found this. Heather! All of you! Thank you. I am so thankful for you all. Lastly I am thankful for my dearest friend of all- Brian. Not a word was said yesterday. He just knew. He stayed home from work, entertained Miss N, ran about 100 errands to keep the house quiet, delivered gatorade with a bendy straw, tylenol, back rubs.

Thank you. I mean it.

(Speaking of friends- that's N's bunny buddy up there at the top. Isn't he sweet?! He's pretty tame too.)

I'm so glad you're on the mend.

I'm glad things are looking up today. :)

Hooray! I'm glad you're recovering and feeling like things are looking up.
there are some very nice folks visiting the NP and I'm happy they are there.

is the rabbit looking for your carrots?

Oh man, hope you feel better soon! And so happy you have some good friends to take care of you!

We've had the nasty stomach virus twice in two months. The first time I was sick my husband had to go to work. The second time was a Sunday. Thank goodness for Sundays. (Now we're getting colds.)

Feel better and rest up!

Hope you feel better! Glad you got some good caretaking!

so happy you are feeling better, alicia!

husbands are the best! I am so glad to hear you are feeling better A. Doesn't it make you wonder what is up around here that we are all getting the stomach bug? yucky.

Aw man, I'm glad you're feeling better.

Sooooo relieved you are on the mend. Thank goodness for sweet husbands, too.

Oh I'm so sorry you caught it too! Well hopefully now your family has had it's share and you can get on with Spring. :) Glad you're feeling better.

Dear sweet Alicia, What I am thinking right now is that the "well" season seems to be a whole lot shorter than the "sick" season, and what I am wishing for your family and my own is better health -- over the summer and over next school year, too. xoxox
