looking for my summer stride
Hello, friends. It's late Spring in Kansas City and that always means crazy weather. We went out after a storm last night to take some photos of the amazing sky it left behind.
The weather is fitting for the whirlwind that early summer brings. Friends, play dates, swim team, baseball, dinner on the patio, popsicles, Boy Scout camp. It's all wonderful, sticky fun but it leaves little time for computer/studio work.
So if you read less from me, I apologize. Just know that we're here- the kids whoopin' it up and the mama happy yet dog tired come the end of a day.
xo,
Alicia

I have to say that I just love that picture of your little girl walking down the sidewalk in her rubber boots, with all the green expanses of lawn and the pleasant houses and nice cars sitting in the driveway, etc.. My family is moving over to Belfast Ireland in two months and looking at that picture fills me with Americana nostalgia, even though we haven't even left yet.

there was synchrony in our thoughts today. This was where I was headed with my post. Actually, I never finished typing my post & accidentally published it.. oops.
Still...our minds were thinking alike. But, I like how you said it better.

love your swirling sky
i saw one like that a few months back, with so many depths and levels of moving energy. Enjoy boy scout camp! Hope your toes don't dangle over the edge of those little bunk beds. :)

We have those same storms here. They're beautiful. And then, sometimes, frightening. I love your captures of them, though.
I hope you find your summer stride, and that summer is full of promise for you. You and I -- after all the sickness of the winter -- deserve that.
