it's not that bad

It's no secret I'm having a hard time giving up summer this year, so I'm trying to embrace Fall's small gifts. The first little bits of loveliness I've seen: warmer colors and sideways evening light.

Oh, that evening light.

Happy first day of Autumn, my friends. (or Spring- you lucky devils.)

I love the photos. You really do capture fall light.

Isn't it funny that we each look forward to different things when the seasons change? I hope your Autumn is beautiful in so many ways.

thank you, thank you - for this glimpse at the loveliness of fall. i'm trying hard to embrace the change.

I'm hoping to get some good sideways light photos this evening :)

'sideways evening light', makes me smile.

I just try to think about cozy warm nights under piles of comforters and bowls of warm soup... But I have to agree, it's hard to accept that summer is over!

if fall continues at this 70's during the day/50's at night pace, i will step right to the front of the sign up line. PS. i almost ran over and knocked on your door yesterday, we were at the park for a soccer game.

Lovely photos...

It has been so nice out, I'm almost forgetting that this means winter is coming. But I can sense a hint of Chris's seasonal issues starting up already though!

:) It's the golden light, the crisp scent, and the clarity of the sky on the perfect fall day that get me every time. These are lovely photos, Alicia.

I just love that third photo. The way the light rays come through the trees and on to the grass is just fantastic!

Enjoy Autumn!

happy autumn to you too. i love your banner, is that new? or have i never noticed? enjoy the sideways light. :)

Your photos are a great way to say goodbye to summer and hello to autumn. Have a great first day of the season!

What a gorgeous time of day!
I sure enjoyed the photos!

I'll make you a deal ... I'll trade you some summer-like weather and you can send over anything fall or winter-like.

Ahh...Alicia. Such a fan of your beautiful photographs, your collaboration with Heather, the gorgeous things you make, and your peaceful and beautiful blog. I am so glad you enjoyed the interview with your friend, Heather. I enjoyed having you visit! Thank you...
