mourning

the end of summer.

I'm having a hard time letting go this year. Must go drown my sorrows in left-over brownies.

Seriously, it's not that bad. We had the best weekend ever. And I am looking forward to just a little bit of free/work time. (Someone tiny starts preschool today.) Plus it's already Tuesday, so we've got that going for us.

But I'm not kidding about the brownies.

lovely summery photos. and brownies sound good.

I have one more week of summer before preschool starts, but I know the feeling. Get going on those brownies...for me, I think it will be chocolate chip cookies.

we're working on leftover cobbler for breakfast here (at least the adults are).

me too, having the hardest time w/ saying goodbye to summer!
those brownies were delicious btw :)

Feather says "happy first day N.!"

i'm with you. today was the first day that jackets had to be worn on the walk to school. i'm just not okay with that yet. but i do this every year.

brownies sound perfect.

I second how delicious those brownies were! Yum. They certainly beat the peaches and yogurt I had earlier. Sorry peaches, but sea salt brownies win.

Have fun today little N!

ummm, if you have any brownies left over i'll take one over here. i've been meaning to try that recipe.

it was unseasonably cool here which made it feel like the end of summer, but by the end of the week, it'll be back to the 90s.

you are my kind of woman! I'm all about brownies and peach cobbler :) you can definitely say you had a great summer. if it has to end, you certainly shouldn't have any regrets. hopefully the brownies and the free time will soothe your sadness.

we have 18 more days. don't we? don't we? don't we?!?!

Brownies are my drug of choice as well...

Me too! I'm seriously mourning the end of summer and the beginning for the work year. Of course the chocolate chip cookies I ate on the drive in helped...

ahhhh. see....i am one of those people that are looking forward to autumn. yep. sorry!

did you make them? did you like them? oh no. now i am getting a irresistible urge to make some.

i'm going to miss summer, too. but then there is fall - and fall is glorious so at least it is something good to let summer go for.

Brownies....Mmmmmmmm....I wonder if I have cocoa?? Going to check.

My son starts kindergarten and my daughter starts preschool. Between the two, though, I'll only get an hour to myself. I'm not sure that's enough time to start feeling sorry for myself, but it is long enough for brownie consumption...
