crazy weather
Warm and sunny, cold and stormy, warm and sunny, cold and stormy. Crazy early spring weather! (Although it's not really spring yet.) I peeked out a minute ago because the sun was shining, but I heard raindrops. The low warm sun was making the Sweetgum balls glow orange against an approaching storm.
Very pretty! And already with only a few sprinkles, the storm clouds blew away and out came the sun.

such beautiful bare trees. My family lives in KC and they said you had 75 degree weather the other day? Unbelievable! And lucky!

Hi Alicia,
It's been five years since we lived in Overland Park. We had a sweetgum tree in our backyard, too, and while the little balls were kind of a mess, they sure were neat with their little spines all around. They would be great in some kind of crafty project, though I never took the time to invent it!
How I miss those freaky warm days in the middle of winter - we don't seem to get them in the Chicago suburbs...
