today looks a lot like this photo

today

One child is back at school, but one child is still under the weather. One mama is stir-crazy, browsing through cookbooks and surfing the net, folding laundry and administering medication.

And here is my (mixed) message for today. Don't buy too much stuff. And don't let anyone make you think you need more stuff. BUT if you have the money to spend, please buy from the little guy, the independent artist. We're having a rough go of it lately. Wouldn't something from one of these folks make a better, more meaningful valentine's gift for one of your sweeties?

•Heather's "finding winter, drawing spring" collection. Heather personifies talent and dedication.
•Rachel's amazing valentines cards and photographs. Love.
•Heather's mantra quilts. Meaningful and personalizable.
Book of Days. The gift that keeps on giving.
Anything from Abby. What an eye. She'll be back soon.
•My cousin (in-law) makes fabulous funky jewelry. I'm coveting this pendant.
•Sara+h's photos are wonderful too.
•You know how I love Veronica's birdies.

Really I could go on and on...

Stay healthy, ok?

Aren't you a nice friend with all those links. Feel better over there.

I only just recently have come across your blog, but I hope to visit it more often. I grew up in KC, and am now making my own little family on the west side of the states. Yours is an important message. I hope you are all well soon!

Your photo looks a lot like my life lately. Only our breathalizer mask doesn't have a cool face on it like that.

Sob. You just made me cry. Thank you for the mention, friend.

I also meant to say my life is looking very similar. Lots and lots of nebs and tea around here.

I'm having fun checking out all your links! {thanks for mentioning mine} :)

Oh, thank you, thank you for that!
For the sweet mention... and also for the message.
Well wishes for the wee ones, and the mama too!

I am so sick of seeing that fish (or whatever face it is) for the nebulizer, I could scream! I should give ours a name because it truly is a member of the family.

I'm sorry for your illnesses. That's a bummer. I recognize the clues about the nebulizer for sure.

Come for a visit - it'll will help cheer you up- I'm trying to spread the news about a fabric giveaway.

thank you so much for the shout out! i was wondering where all the views were coming from for that pendant.

i hope your spirits are lifted soon. some warmer temps and sunshine will be on it's way soon to help.

thank you, a! you are the sweetest.
i hope life goes back to normal and both little ones feel better. but i love what you saw here, thank you for sharing it!

thank you thank you thank you. golly...

sending you healthy wishes for the kiddos, and maybe an out of the house moment or two for the mama. ;) take care of yourself. xo

Hope you're all feeling better by now... not too many nebbie treatments, I hope?

I love giving handmade gifts, too. There is something more special about each one.

Take care, you.
