we went to the beach

During Spring Break we took a little trip. Galveston, TX is rebuilding quite nicely after Ike. It was very interesting. I photographed these beach collections while we where there; I'm thinking of framing them together for our new basement.

I love this series of photos so, so much.

How cool...I've been following your blog from afar & here you were this week right in my backyard!(I live in a Houston suburb)It's inspiring to see how hard Galveston has worked to rebuild after Ike, & inspiring to see your pictures.

oh my, yes you should frame them for the new basement! you know, in all of my years i have never seen a rainbow colored beach collection. yet somehow it is not surprising to me that you, miss noticing girl herself, made this beautiful discovery. welcome home. :)

I was wondering how it was rebuilding, that's really good to hear.
Yes, you really should print/frame them for the basement, they would fit perfectly there! {esp. w/ the giant foam fish} ;)

Welcome back, Alicia. These photos are definitely frame-worthy. They'll be a fun reminder of sunny times when you're hunkering down in the basement during the cold winter months. :)

Welcome home! I love the beach photos.

Love the pictures! The feathers are my favorite. Glad you had a good spring break. I missed your blog while you were away, though! Welcome home.

I LOVE each of these shots SO much - just gorgeous! Aren't you in Kansas City - that's quite a trip, no? Glad to see non-residents visiting our state's beaches! Hope you had a great time!!

Such pretty photos. I'm so glad that you had a nice Spring Break, but we all missed you and your posts.

Glad that you're back safely.

Those would look awesome framed in your new basement! do it! So glad to have you home freind.

it looks like you had a great trip. welcome home!

your photos would be gorgeous framed. love the collection (s)!

These photos are great. And I love the ones on the other post too. The film really makes a difference on the drugstore ones.

What a beautiful rainbow of beach treasures. My older daughter liked how you stood the gull feathers in the sand - she thought it looked like a family looking out at the waves.

these are so beautiful!!
