Happy Sunday! I thought I'd pop in for a minute and share little bits of a couple of recent murals.

I've been painting more murals lately, which is so very good for our financial well being, and in turn our mental well being. : ) I usually only paint on weekends when Brian is home to watch the kids, which makes me miss him a little. But we've been squeezing lots of fun stuff in and around my working time- friends and barbecues and baseball games and out-of-town visitors.

I hope you all are well! (And I also hope to have a few sewing projects to show you soon.)

I wish we had a pool: night swimming.

There are so many reasons not to want a pool, but after a relaxing float in the glowing water, chatting, sipping margaritas, watching the bats dip down for a drink, it's hard to remember them.

Hello, friends! We have been...

Picking berries and making gobs of jam,

Hanging around outside waiting for fireflies,

Sewing up a few little girlie summer night gowns,

Enjoying the first few raspberries from our own bushes,

And generally easing into summer.

of the house.

Right now we're choosing to ignore the front side of the house, where there scene resembles this:

and we're hanging out on the back patio- where there are no hidden structural problems, nails to step on, and ginormous holes in the new roof.

On the back side of the house there are grilled chicken legs, pasta salad, a sputnik fire and marshmallows, and plenty of cheap, cold beer. And if you squint and hang over the fence, you can catch a glimpse of this wondrous rose bush.
