Hi there. It's been awhile, huh?
I've been pondering why that is. I've been making stuff and doing fun things and cooking and celebrating the holidays, but I just can't get the oomph to post about any of it here. And honestly, I've taken so many family photos this year (I'm not complaining- no way! It's been great.) that I'm not quite as interested in taking photos just for fun. Wait. That's not completely true. I'd love to take tons of film photos. But it's too expensive. Every time I go drop $20 at the processing place, it makes me feel guilty. And guilt feels like a waste of energy. I do like to visit with everyone over at Flickr often, but that seems different. I call it blogging lite- lots of photos, less words, no pressure.
So here's what I'm thinking: I don't want to give up this blog completely. I think I just need a break. A good long break. I'm going to give myself permission to not come up with anything clever or crafty or exciting to say here for awhile- not that I have been anyway. I may come back in February. Maybe. We'll see how it goes.

you know i can relate. and the feeling has been back for me lately. i hope it comes back for you too, and soon. because i like visiting you here. it makes me feel like i'm visiting you at home. but i'm happy hanging out with you over there, too. wherever, really. and in just a few weeks in kc! xo.

I hear you, too! My blog is gathering dust as well. Even my flickr account is seeing very little activity...going back to work just sucks up a lot of time!
