spring is springing
Flowers are blooming.
Buds are budding.
Our park is hopping.
The dog barks at the door presumably to go potty,
then is found sitting still in the grass face turned towards the sun, eyes closed.
Alfermans are hiking and chasing and pedaling,
leaving bikes and scooters and balls strewn across the yard.
Friends are calling with grills warming.
Burgers are patted out and salads are tossed
and conversations on the back patio last for hours.
Kids are playing ghost in the graveyard and capture the flag
(or capture your sister's sandal when a flag is hard to come by.)
Shoes and knees and elbows are muddy,
and showers before bed are a necessity.
Kids are going to school with highly encouraged cases of
Spring Fever.
There will be more cold days and rainy days and even some snow flurries?
But for now we taste a little warmth
And decide (again) we've never been happier that Spring has arrived.
