last night
Last night Heather and I (+ families) had a little going away dinner for Rachel and David and the girls. It was bittersweet, but I held it together pretty well until the very end when it was late and dark and we were all hugging goodnight (+ farewell for now), and then the lump in my throat got the best of me.
All that's left today is a dishwasher to unload and wax-drippy candles. And that lump in my throat, it's still there.
They are a good family full of great people and I wish them only the best. (+ I'm already planning a trip to Houston/Galveston for spring break next year.)

I've been thinking how that parting was going to be so hard. I'm glad you were able to celebrate being together though.

I knew it would be sad for you guys to say goodbye to them. But thankfully, the medium that brings strangers into our homes and makes them friends in real life continues on.
